What does a collection day involve?
A couple of hours at an agreed spot with a sealed bucket and ID, saying hello to people. Organisers handle permits and count the money afterwards.
Can I help without standing on a street?
Yes. Groups also need help with event logistics, sponsorship letters, online appeals and thanking donors afterwards.
Do I need fundraising experience?
No for collections and events. Roles involving grant applications or corporate sponsorship may look for relevant experience, and will say so.
