Can I help at just one event?
Yes. Most event roles are a single day or a shift within it, which is why they suit people with unpredictable weeks.
What does stewarding involve?
Welcoming people, showing them where to go, marshalling a route or a car park, and keeping an eye out so the organisers know if something needs attention.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Usually, so organisers can plan numbers and brief you. Some events also run a short briefing on the day.
Will I be outdoors?
Often. Bring layers and a rain jacket, and wear comfortable shoes. High-vis is normally provided.
