What training is involved?
A lot, and it is provided. Expect a structured programme with regular exercises, and a probation period before you are operational.
Are there roles that are not frontline?
Yes. These services also need help with fundraising, shore support, open days, administration and equipment upkeep.
How much time will it take?
More than most volunteering. Crews train regularly and need people who can respond when called, so availability matters as much as hours.
